If you are joining for our Hometown Health Association Plan - Builder/Developers and common ownership companies may be subject to additional verification. Contractor Licenses will be verified as well. Please call our office if you have any questions.
All membership dues are billed on an annual basis from application date and include an annual $50 processing fee, a $198 NAHB membership dues charge, and $50 to the Political Action Fund.
If you choose a payment plan option, please note that our memberships are annual and you can be held liable to pay the full annual amount.
A portion of dues payments may be deductible by members as an ordinary and necessary business expense, however, $190 of your dues payment is not deductible for federal tax purposes because it is allocated to lobbying and other non-deductible political expenditures.
Builder members are also billed for assessment fees for permits pulled in Washoe County - $100 per home and $20 per multi-family unit. Half of those monies go to the Builders Association Political Action Fund and half of those monies go to the Builder Council Fund, controlled by paying members of the Builders Council.
The BANN Political Action Committee helps to elect local public officials who are supportive of the building industry, furthering the mission of the Association. Unless you choose to opt out, $50 of your dues will be contributed to BANN-PAC. If you opt out of this contribution by alerting our office, that portion of your dues will be contributed to the BANN General Fund.
